Don't pay for the upgrade!
The "Up Grade" is installed over your existing Operating System, Windows XP® or Vista®, or even Windows Media Center 2004/05®. If you should have a problem (and you will!) you would have to reinstall your original Operating System back completely again. Wow! Then you'd load all the drivers and situate all of the Email, Favorites, MyDocuments, Desktop, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Outlook Express, etc..Then, reload the Up Grade. This is a life changing event. Plus, the chances of getting that kind of time for that is sometimes weeks. If you have an even older Windows 98/98SE® or Windows Millinneum® DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT IT!

don't be Fooled!
Most software companies, Microsoft, CA, Norton, MacAfee and others push harder and harder to sell you their product(s) with the "ease of self-installation" promoted generously. This could not be further from the truth. The truth is it could cost several hundred dollars to actually do it correctly after a botched install. There are lots of folks that seem to do well. However, most do not and don't even notice if there is a mis-load, critical file missing, or a key system malfunction which may occur at boot up after loading. Having a certified computer technician that has hundreds of installs under his/her belt is the smart move. DIY is big these days but electronically a lot of us are quite challenged. We wish it was as simple as placing the software in the CD drive. An experienced technician will notice any odd or abnormal behavior during and after the initial install. Don't be fooled into thinking this is like changing your oil or air filter in the car or changing out that leaky faucett, it's not. We drive our computers much more than we drive our automobile's today. The average person uses their computer 4.5 hours per day! Running well, smooth and trouble free is a necessity. What would we do without them? Proper installation with drivers and optimizing configuration's is critical and essential.

Who Should migrate to Windows 7?
Good question. First, if you want better performance Windows 7® may be the best move. Windows XP® lovers and Vista® grippers will like Windows 7® better in a short period of time. Windows 7® does not feel odd or awkward too much. It is different than XP but miles away from Vista® because it seems to work well. In Beta test we have found an ease of use and acclamation 10 times quicker than Vista® and 2 times quicker that XP. With that said if you haven't migrated up in a couple of OS versions you will need to do this ASAP for security. If you are using Windows XP Professional® with service pack 2 you should consider. If you are using Windows XP® Home/Pro with service pack 2 and/or 3 you should consider heavily. If you bank, check weather, run Turbo Tax, Quicken, QuickBooks, MS Money, Investment Banking logons or any of the current office products like Microsoft Office 2007 or higher, you will benefit 10 times the cost of migrating. On another note, if you are perfectly content, don't need another thing, your system functions properly,(Funny) you don't get on the internet hardly at all, then you may be just fine for another year or so. You will because of printing, email, web browsing and accounting, All in One printer/Scanners/Fax, and wireless components, will need to for usability.
